Below you'll find a list of links to some nice people, and some governing bodies!

Where I buy most of my kit from and the shop where I started my kayak fishing journey. Liam, their house coach, runs free starter sessions on the canal, and these are a great way to start. Knowledgeable staff and decent prices, so all in all, highly recommended.

The governing body for kayaking in the UK, useful for general information

 Canoe England

My favourite kayak angling forum. I'm often to be found hanging out there, under the user name Pugwash. There is a huge amount of info on the site, and the friendly bunch of users are able to answer almost any question
Jersey Kayak Adventures are lucky enough to be based on the idyllic island of Jersey, probably the best place to paddle in the UK. The company is run by 5 star kayak coach Derek Hairon, all round top bloke and amazing paddle coach, as well as author of the definitive book on sit on top paddling. Derek has a massive fleet of kayaks available on the island, including loads of Scupper Pros.
OK, so they are a long way from Devon, but the customer sewrvice is first class, and the mail order service is quite excellent. H2O has an amazing range of bits and pieces, and a very wide stock of RAM products.
The best place for small orders of stainless steel bits and pieces, good mail order service
Dangerous people to go drinking with, but a really nice bunch, and to the best of my knowledge the UK's only kayak fishing club. Great website and forum, with interesting boat reviews and loads of events. Their Oxwich Bay fishing comp is one of the highlights of the kayaking year.
